A filmmaker in progress
I'm Isaiah McDowell Toombs, a filmmaker, director, editor, and screenwriter from Chicago studying film at Morehouse College.
I've been drawn to filmmaking because it allows me to combine storytelling, cinematography, editing, music, sound, performance, and visual creativity. Before Morehouse, I developed my skills through independent work and multimedia productions at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School.
I don't want to limit myself to one part of filmmaking. I want to understand how each element contributes to the story, from the first idea through the final edit. At Morehouse, I'm continuing to develop my technical skills and creative voice.
